What the official deficiency says

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: when requested by the prescribing physician or the Department, arecord of dosages of medications which are centrally stored shall be maintained by the facility. Deficient Practice Statement Based on [(observation) (interview) (record review)], the licensee did not comply with the section cited above prescribed morning medication administered on 08/10/26 was not initialed/documented on the MARS. Staff conformed the medications were provided to resident but acknowledged that the entry was not completed which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

(c) Licensees who accept and retain residents with dementia shall be responsible for ensuring the following: (6) Appraisals are conducted on an ongoing basis pursuant to Section 87463, Reappraisals. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above by the LPA observed the kitchen cabinet latches and locks to be broken, which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to the persons in care.
