The plan shall encourage routine medical and dental care and provide for assistance in obtaining such care, by compliance with the following: (4) The licensee shall assist residents with self administered medications as needed This was not met as evidenced by: Executive Director Enriquez was made aware of the medication error and documented that the medication was not dispensed with the allowable time frame for this medication.

Personal Rights of Residents in All Facilities: Residents in all residential care facilities for the elderly shall have all of the following personal rights: To receive or reject medical care or other services. This requirement was not met, as evidenced by: Based on interviews the Licensee did not ensure R1 maintained the right to receive medical care. On 07/16/20, a home health representative responded to the facility to evaluate R1, however, the representative was denied entry into the facility.

(continued from left) on 07/08/20, but it was found that treatment & care for the injury was not provided as needed. On 07/26/20, R1 was admitted to the hospital & was DX with an infected sacral pressure injury (ulcer) Stage III. This violation of regulation posed an immediate risk to R1.
