What the official deficiency says

87465 Incidental Medical and Dental Care (a) A plan for incidental medical and dental care shall be developed by each facility…and provide for assistance in obtaining such care, by compliance with the following: (4) The licensee shall assist residents with self administered medications as needed. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that R1, R2, R3, and R4 did not receive their medication which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Facility to submit plan to conduct training on medication management including ordering, checking-in medications, and maintaining inventory by plan of correction due date. Recognizing medications changes will also be covered. Facility to conduct training by no later than 4/17/26. Training to be conducted with all staff administering medication
