(b) The following food service requirements shall apply: (9) Procedures which protect the safety, acceptability and nutritive values of food shall be observed in food storage, preparation and service. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on LPA and admin observation the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that food items were found expired in pantry including canned goods, cake mix and granola bars which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

87465 Incidental Medical and Dental Care:(a) (a) A plan for incidental medical and dental care shall be developed...(4)The licensee shall assist residents with self-administered medications as needed.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: based on record review, licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Per Incident report, licensee did not ensure R1's medication was administered correctly. This is an immediate health and safety risk to residents in care.

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in ensuring that all cleaning products, chemicals and other potentially dangerous items were inaccessible to residents in care, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

POC Due Date: 12/12/2024 Plan of Correction Licensee immediately removed items and secured storage cabinets with locks to ensure that all dangerous items are inaccessible to residents in care. POC cleared during todays inspection.
