What the official deficiency says
87625(b)(3) Managed Incontinence (b)...the licensee shall be responsible for the following: (3) Ensuring that incontinent residents are kept clean and dry and that the facility remains free of odors from incontinence. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on interviews, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above when Staff did not ensure incontinent residents were kept dry, which posed an immediate health and safety/personal rights risk to residents in care.
Official plan of correction
Administrator agreed to submit a plan to better check on incontinent residents and submit plan to CCL by 4/27/23. Administrator also agreed to train staff on the plan as well as to not double diaper resident and submit training to CCL with topics covered, name, date, and signature by 5/1/23.
