What the official deficiency says

(a) Except as specified in subsection (b), the licensee shall ensure that disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisonous substances, knives, matches, tools, sharp objects, and other similar items which could pose a danger to residents are in locked storage and are not left unattended if outside the locked storage. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on [(observation) (interview) (record review)], the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as during the tour of the facility, LPA observed sharps were not locked and accessible to residents in care which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on [(observation) (interview) (record review)], the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as LPA observed construction in the backyard, and there is a shed next to the construction that was not identified on the facility sketch which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

The administrator will revise the facility sketch to reflect the facility's floor plan both indoor and outdoor of the facility. In addition, the facility sketch shall indicate the usage of the shed in the back yard. The administrator will provide a copy of the signed and dated plan of correction to CCL by 4/9/2025 and a copy of the revised facility sketch by 4/15/2025.
