What the official deficiency says
(h) The following requirements shall apply to medications which are centrally stored: (5) Each resident's medication shall be stored in its originally received container. No medications shall be transferred between containers. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation and interviews, the facility stored medication in a pill container and not in its' original container. Facility did not comply with the section cited above in [2] out of [4] persons which posed a potential health and safety risk to persons in care.

POC Due Date: 03/11/2024 Plan of Correction Administrator will dispense the medication from the original container. Administrator will provide additional training to staff and will review the regulation of the above citation. Administrator will provide the Department with written proof of their understanding of the regulations and provide a log of completed training by the POC date of 3/11/24.
