What the official deficiency says

87465 Incidental Medical and Dental Needs. (1) (a) A plan for incidental medical and dental care shall be developed by each facility...(4) The licensee shall assist residents with self administered medications as needed. This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, licensee did not ensure the assistance of self administered medication for R1 on multiple days during March 2025. This posed an immediate health and safety risk to resident in care.

Licensee will ensure completed training on medication documentation and accountability. Training to be completed by an outside vendor. Training date to be submitted to LPA by POC due date with proof of completed training to be sent to LPA no later than 5-27-2026.
