What the official deficiency says
(8) All food shall be of good quality. Commercial foods shall be approved by appropriate federal, state and local authorities. Food in damaged containers shall not be accepted, used or retained. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above because several perishable and non perishable expired or passed best to use date were observed at pantry, refrigerator and freezer which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
Official plan of correction
POC Due Date: 08/17/2026 Plan of Correction During the inspection, the Administrator immediately discarded the expired and spoiled food items identified by LPA and cleaned and reorganized the pantry, refrigerator, and freezer. The Administrator will provide training to direct care staff on proper food safety practices, including routine monitoring of food storage areas and manufacturer date labeling. The Administrator will provide LPA with documentation verifying completion of the training, including the training topic, date of training, names of participants, and participant signatures by due date.
