87465 Incidental Medical and Dental Care (h)The following requirements shall apply to medications which are centrally stored:(6) The licensee shall be responsible for assuring that a record of centrally stored prescription medications for each resident is maintained for at least one year and includes This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Licensee did not keep centrally stored medication records for the month of October 2024. Based on observation and records review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 3 out of 5 residents which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

POC Due Date: 11/22/2024 Plan of Correction Administrator immediately completed medication records for all 3 residents. Administrator will submit a statement showing all staff are trained on importance of centrally stored medication records by the due date above.
(a) …Prior to accepting or retaining any of the following types of persons, the applicant or licensee shall notify the licensing agency and obtain an appropriate fire clearance approved… (2)Bedridden persons This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on interview and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above with R1 was currently has a bedridden status, the facility currently is not approved to retain bedridden residents. This poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Incidental Medical and Dental Care - (h) The following requirements shall apply to medications which are centrally stored: (5) Each resident's medication shall be stored in its originally received container. No medications shall be transferred between containers. Based on LPA Gardner's observation of medication not in its original prescribed container even though the medication was in a locked drawer, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above which poses an potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
