What the official deficiency says
(a) Except as specified in subsection (b), the licensee shall ensure that disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisonous substances, knives, matches, tools, sharp objects, and other similar items which could pose a danger to residents are in locked storage and are not left unattended if outside the locked storage. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, record review, and interview. The licensee did not ensure knives was inaccessible to residents which poses an immediate threat to the health and safety and wellbeing of the residents.

POC Due Date: 05/08/2026 Plan of Correction Licensee made the knifes inaccessible to residents by locking knife away in drawer. Licensee stated they will review the regulation regarding knife safety and provide CCLD with a signed statement of understanding by 5/08/2026.
