87465 Incidental Medical and Dental Care(a): A plan for incidental medical and dental care shall be developed by each facility...(4) The licensee shall assist residents with self-administered medications as needed. This requirement is not evidenced by: Based on interviews conducted & records reviewed, the Licensee did not ensure that R1 was given her routine medication according to the prescribed orders on four different occasions. This poses an immediate health and safety risk to persons in care.
The Executive Director stated that a retraining with all staff handling medication has been scheduled. The Executive Director agreed to provide LPAs proof of the training for all staff via email or fax by POC due date.

This requirement was not met as evidence by: Per UIIR, R1 was not given their prescribed Valganciclovir 450 mg for 17 days. This poses an immediate health, safety, and personal rights risk to persons in care.
