(e) Water supplies and plumbing fixtures shall be maintained as follows: (2) Faucets used by residents for personal care such as shaving and grooming shall deliver hot water. Hot water temperature controls shall be maintained to automatically regulate the temperature of hot water used by residents to attain a temperature of not less than 105 degree F (41 degrees C) and not more than 120 degree F (49 degrees C). This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in four out of four bathroom faucets, which poses an immediate healthy and safety risk to persons in care. LPA observed water temperatures between 123.2 and 127.0 degrees F in bathrooms used by residents in care.
Official plan of correction
POC Due Date: 08/28/2026 Plan of Correction During the inspection, Administrator (AD) adjusted the boiler/water temperture controls for all four bathrooms. Water temperatures measured below 105 degrees F for second temperature test. When tested the for the final time, all four bathroom water temperatures when measured and incompliance. AD stated they will send a picture of the water temperature measurements for each bathroom and document hot water temperatures on logs for every two hours, over the next 24 hours period. Proof will be submitted to LPA/CCLD by 5pm on POC due date via eboni.bentley@dss.ca.gov.
(A) A bed rail that extends from the head half the length of the bed and used only for assistance with mobility shall be allowed. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observations, interview, and record review, facility did not maintain bed rail orders for two out five residents which poses a potential health/safety risk to persons in care.
