What Type A and Type B mean
Type A
Violations of licensing requirements that, if not corrected, have a direct and immediate risk to the health, safety, or personal rights of persons in care.
Type B

What the official deficiency says

Based on the individual's preadmission appraisal, and subsequent changes to that appraisal. Postural supports may be used under the following conditions. Under no circumstances shall postural supports include tying, depriving, or limiting the use of a resident's hands or feet. Bed rails that extend the entire length of the bed are prohibited except for residents who are currently receiving hospice care and have a hospice care plan that specifies the need for full bed rails. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above. Resident 1 has full bed rails and all residents have full bed rails on the inside of the bed facing the wall. This poses an immediate health, and safety risk to persons in care.
