What the official deficiency says

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: If the resident 's physician stated in writing that the resident is able to determine his/her own precription medications...the licensee shall be permitted to assist resident with self administration...(2) Once ordered by the physcian the medication is given Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 1 out of 1 R1 medication counted was a surplus, which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

In addition, the Licensee shall provide medication training to staff and show proof to the Department that training was completed.
