87625 Managed Incontinence (b) In addition to Section 87611, General Requirements for Allowable Health Conditions, the licensee shall be responsible for the following: (2) Ensuring that incontinent residents are checked during those periods of time when they are known to be incontinent, including during the night. This has not been met as evidenced by: Based on interviews and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above by not ensuring that R1’s incontinent care needs were met during nighttime which poses a potential health, safety, and personal rights risks to persons in care.
Official plan of correction
The Licensee has addressed the issue of providing incontinence care needs during nighttime. The House Manager has agreed to re-train all staff on Incontinence Care Needs for night/nocturnal shift and email training log to Socorro.Leandro@dss.ca.gov.
