What the official deficiency says

(a) Prior to a person's acceptance as a resident, the licensee shall obtain documentation of a medical assessment, signed by a licensed medical professional acting within the scope of their practice and made within the last year, to be kept in the resident's record. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 2 out of 6 residents reviewed, did not have medical assessment on file, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

What the official deficiency says

(e) All individuals subject to a criminal record review pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 1569.17(b) shall prior to working, residing or volunteering in a licensed facility This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA's record review and interview the licensee did not ensure that the staff working at the facility is fingerprint cleared and associated at the facility. This poses a health and safety risk to the residents in care.

The staff left the facility and will not come back until fingerprint clearance was obtained and associated at the facility. The co - administrator let go of the staff to obtain fingerprint clearance.
