Safeguards for Resident Cash, Personal Property, and Valuables (a)...if a resident incapable of handling his own cash resources, as documented by the initial... appraisal, is accepted for care,... cash resource shall be safeguarded in accordance with the regulations in this section. This requirement is not met as evidenced by; Based on interviews & record review, Physicians Report shows R1 was incapable of handling cash resources yet facility did not safeguard R1’s cash resources which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to residents in care.

This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on LPA's observation of the portable lock & staff/administrator interviews stating wheelchairs were previously used to block the entrance & the portable lock currently used, staff did not comply with the section cited above which poses a potential health, safety & personal rights risk to residents in care.
