A plan for incidental medical and dental care shall be developed by each facility. The plan shall encourage routine medical and dental care and provide for assistance in obtaining such care, by compliance with the following: (4) The licensee shall assist residents with self-administered medications as needed. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 1 out of 1 medication bubble pack were randomly punch, that results in inconsistency, which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

Incidental medical and dental Care: The following requirements shall apply to medications which are centrally stored:Centrally stored medicines shall be kept in a safe and locked place that is not accessible to persons other than employees supervision of the centrally stored. This requirement is not met by S2 medication was seen in an unlock bedroom #1 and bedroom #2 that is accessible to the residents in the facility. This poses a potential health and safety risk to residents in care.

General Food Service Requirements: The following food service requirements shall apply: (24) Pesticides and other toxic substances shall not be stored in food storerooms, kitchen areas, or where kitchen equipment or utensils are stored. This requirement is not met by licensee where LPA saw cleaning supplies kept under the sink with beverages for consumption. This poses a potential health and safety risk to residents in care.

Staff should not store checmicals with food/ beverages in the same storage. POC was done during today with licensee. Chemicals were stored in a lock storage cabinet in the bathroom located in the hallway.
