What the official deficiency says

(a) Except as specified in subsection (b), the licensee shall ensure that disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisonous substances, knives, matches, tools, sharp objects, and other similar items which could pose a danger to residents are in locked storage and are not left unattended if outside the locked storage. This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in that various chemicals were observed in an unlocked storage shed in the backyard + garage, and scissors + lighters were found unlocked in kitchen which poses an immediate health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.

POC Due Date: 09/03/2025 Plan of Correction Deficiencies were fixed on site. Cleaning chemicals were made sure to be locked or moved to a new locked area, and the scissors + matches were moved to locked sharps drawer.

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in Windex, Ajax, Fabuloso in the bathroom cabinet and Cascade and Ajax in the kitchen cabinet and the knife drawer unlocked which poses an immediate health and safety to persons in care.

This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Deficient Practice Statement Based on observation, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in having 5 unlocked storage doors unlocked, 3 ladders, paint, large tool box unlocked with tools, electric saw, wood planks, pick hoe garden tool, 3 shovels, wheelbarrow, and 3 scooters, located in the open porche area which poses potential health and safety risk to persons in care.
