What the official deficiency says
(a) All facilities shall maintain a fire clearance approved by the city, county, or city and county fire department, or district providing fire protection services, or the State Fire Marshal. This requirement was not met as evidenced by failure of staff to notify the fire department of the one car garage conversion to a bedroom unit which posed an immediate health & safety risk to residents in care.
Official plan of correction
Administrator agreed to secure and submit to CCLD a copy of Fire Clearance as soon as possible. Immediate $500 civil penalty assessed for fire clearance violation. Deficiency cleared during visit. Administrator contacted local Fire Department on 08/25/22 and submitted fire clearance application for renovated one car garage.
Deadline recorded: Aug 25, 2022. A deadline is not proof that correction was completed.
