What the official deficiency says

A licensee shall ensure that infection control practices are maintained as follows Facility items that cannot be disinfected shall be discarded immediately in an appropriate waste receptacle with a tight-fitting cover or otherwise made inaccessible to human contact or transmission This requirement was not met as evidenced by open trashbins in residents' bedrooms and bathrooms which posed a potential health and safety risk to residents in care.

By POC due date, ADM agrees to replace all open trashbins with foot operated trashbins with lid and submit copy of purchase receipt for trashbins to CCLD in compliance with Section 87470 (a)(2)(D) regulations.

What the official deficiency says

Taps delivering water at 125 degree F (52 degree C) or above shall be prominently identified by warning signs. This requirement was not met as evidenced by hot water temperature measured at 126.2 deg F during visit which posed a potential health and safety risk to residents in care.

Official plan of correction

On or before POC due date, ADM agrees to adjust hot water temperature and submit a photo of water thermostat reading showing hot water temperature between 105 deg F and lower than 120 deg F. ADM agrees to post warning signs on hot water faucets above 125 deg F to ensure safety.
